Welcome to the world of Earthbound: Rhapsody!
I'm Parzival, the director of the fangame Earthbound: Rhapsody. And this is our dev blog, as I'm sure is obvious. Over the past few months we've slowly developed from a community project to a tightly centralized team. While we still remain a community project at heart, we unfortunately do not allow everything to be visible to anyone anymore. This is why we decided to create a blog: to showcase some of our progress for all to see instead of releasing all of it to the public. Because if everything is available to the public, why then it won't be any fun to play, will it?
We plan on doing posts on the first Saturday of every other month. While this might seem rather spaced out, this is because development is likely to take a long time yet, and bimonthly updates seems to be a good pace to us. Each update will focus on a small, individualistic aspect of Rhapsody. We'll try to make each post as detailed as possible without giving away too much. But please remember that updates only represent the current state of things and will not necessarily represent the final product.
Well, without further ado, let's meet the devs of Earthbound: Rhapsody!

You may be wondering why we have so many writers. The answer to this is we take a different approach to our creative aspects than most do. Instead of having one or two people slog away at the script, we have meetings where we bounce ideas off each other. Surprisingly, it works quite well. It often helps to get different viewpoints and ideas.
Also, our apologies for not including anything tangible such as screenshots, but we're saving those for future updates. 😄
We also have a Twitter and a Discord! Feel free to check them out! We'll update our Discord and Twitter a bit more frequently than we do these blog posts.
We're also looking for some talented musicians and/or mappers to join our team! If you'd like to help out, all you have to do is join our Discord or message us on Twitter with some of your previous work! There's a brief application process but nothing too complicated.
